“Greece 2018: Religious Freedom in Question?”

Organized by: European Law Students Association Thessaloniki,

in collaboration with the Center of Excellence “European Constitution and Religion (s)” of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,

under the auspices of the National Commission for Human Rights (EEDA).

In the context of the event, Mr. Stavropoulos George, President of EEDA and Honorary Vice President of the Council of State referred to the subject of religion in the light of the recent decision 660/2018 of the plenary session of the CoC.

Ms. Papadopoulou Lina, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Academic Coordinator of the Center for Excellence Jean Monnet “European Constitution and Religion (s)”, extensively analyzed Article 3 of the Constitution based on its interpretation and interpretation.

Finally, Mr. Papageorgiou Konstantinos, Associate Professor of Ecclesiastical Law at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, referred to the service and salary status of the Orthodox clergy in Greece.
