Professor of Constitutional Law
The Chair was awarded following an international competitive procedure under the European Commission's Lifelong Learning (now Erasmus+) programme (funded by the European Commission for the years 2012-2015 and 2020-23).
In this context, three undergraduate courses are taught, namely: Constitutional Law of the European Union (in English and in Greek) and European Human Rights Law (in English).
In parallel, scientific workshops, lectures, seminars, summer schools and conferences are organised on topics that fall within the scope of European constitutional law and constitutional culture, with the participation of academics, judges, students and general public.
The most significant events which took place were the two-day conferences organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and the Thessaloniki Bar Association, on the one hand in honor of the Professor of the Faculty of Law and President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Mr. Skouris (28-29/03/2014) and on the other hand in memory of Professors D.Th. Tsatsos and G. Papadimitriou (20-21/02/2015).
